Working in close consultation with the A&E Paediatric staff, a series of design workshops were held to determine the feasibility of reconfiguring the existing Paediatric A&E Department to include additional treatment cubicles, observation ward areas and a Paediatric HDU treatment area.

Art consultants, Willis Newson, were involved at the inception of the project to advise on potential installations and to encourage staff to explore the use of art as a medium to enhance the clinical environment.
